Philippine govt forces kill two terrorists in firefight
And recover improvised bomb components from them.
MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE: Two terrorists were killed in a firefight with Philippine government troops in the southern province of South Cotabato on Monday (May 20).
The Army’s 6th Infantry Division in a statement identified the slain alleged Dawlah Islamiyah members as Yasser Catacutan @ Kardo and Eizar Emam.
The firefight occurred when the duo opened fire on operatives of the 10th Special Forces Company and policemen from the T'Boli Municipal Police Station who were trying to serve an arrest warrant in Talcon village, T'Bboli municipality.
Both suspects and a wounded soldier were rushed to the nearest hospital but the two succumbed to their injuries while the injured soldier was in good condition.
 A .45 pistol and improvised bomb components were recovered from the suspects.
