Indonesia arrests 3 suspected terrorists in Central Java
Counterterrorism force also seizes IS flag.
CENTRAL JAVA: The Indonesian National Police's counterterrorism force, Densus 88, reportedly arrested three suspected terrorists in Central Java on Monday (Nov. 4)
The arrests were made in three different locations, namely in Demak Regency, Kudus, and Solo, it has been reported.
Densus 88 arrested a man with the initial B, aged 36, in Gribig Village, Kacamata Gebog, Kudus Regency, at around 9am.
A man with the initial A was also arrested on the same day at his house in Kebonbatur, Mranggen District, Demak.
Densus 88 made the third arrest in Solo City, reports further said.
During the arrests, officers found a flag bearing the Islamic State (IS) terror group’s logo.
Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Artanto, confirmed the arrests, adding Densus 88 will provide more details.
The Jemaah Ansharud Dawlah or JAD, a local pro-IS terror group, were blamed for several suicide bombings in Indonesia including at churches and police stations that killed dozens of people.
